My Practice

Sometimes we can manage on our own.
Sometimes we need support.
Sometimes we need someone to listen compassionately.

Sometimes
we need to make changes but don’t know where to start.

Personal Quests & Where I Come In

Finding the Keys

I am a licensed Psychotherapist and Registered Drama Therapist,
whose life’s work has been guiding and supporting people wanting
to make consequential changes in their lives. The “sometimes” experiences are our human reality and all of us can benefit from professional experience. My approach is dynamic and eclectic, incorporating a variety of experiential methods into traditional talk therapy in order to design the most effectual therapeutic strategy
for each individual. Importantly, by experiential I mean that we won’t just talk – we’ll have experiences together that will empower you to personal fulfillment. The experiences we share will be exciting, sometimes terrifying and personally illuminating, and will open the gateway to personal change.

As years of experience have shown, this approach has been effective for people who suffer from acute eating disorders, chemical dependencies, depression and anxiety.  In addition, these methods
have also enhanced the lives of individuals pursuing personal happiness, greater achievement and genuine relationships, both personally and professionally.

Using techniques best suited for the individual, my strategy is to:
  • Enhance your natural strengths
  • Develop interpersonal skills
  • Maintain your motivation
  • Make meaningful change
  • Find the path to your own wisdom
  • Develop insight into your Self
  • Listen to your intuition
  • Cultivate self-compassion
  • Create a mindfulness practice
  • Learn self-forgiveness
By using experiential techniques from Drama Therapy, we will be able to gain insight into what’s holding you back, and what it will take for you to find happiness and excel in your life.

Some of the other methods we may use in session may include:
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
  • Mindfulness Practices
  • Compassion-focused interventions
  • Guided imagery and embodiment

My treatment philosophy and use of a variety of therapeutic modalities stems from my belief that optimal healing, recovery and personal growth is achieved through the integration of mind, body and spirit. Through this integration you will be able to experience a more flexible and open way of being with yourself and the world.
